Grown, milled, and packaged on our farm. Made from 100% wheat grain, our malted wheat is pure, natural, and completely additive-free. It is currently made from the variety Barrel (2025), a winter wheat once widely grown across Scotland for its quality and versatility. In 2026, we will transition to Bamford, a variety recognised for its exceptional yield, ensuring continued consistency and performance.
Our malted wheat is perfect for brewing or for adding a rich, malty flavour to your baking. It can be sprinkled on top for texture or mixed throughout your loaf for added depth. While it enhances bread mixes beautifully, beginners should start by adding no more than 5% of the total flour weight to ensure a balanced dough. Our malted wheat has a 100% extraction rate, meaning it retains all the natural goodness of the grain. With 8.2g of fibre per 100g and 11.9g of protein per 100g, it brings both flavour and nutrition.
Best used within 6 months of milling. Store in a cool, dry place.
